Simsbury Finalizes Interim Town Manager Team
Simsbury's police chief has assumed duties until June 1, with the former manager of Wethersfield taking over in the interim after.

SIMSBURY, CT — With the former town manager now done with her time leading Simsbury, local officials this week announced Simsbury's police chief is taking over in the interim.
Simsbury Police Chief Nicholas Boulter will be the interim town manager until June 1, Simsbury First Selectman Wendy Mackstutis said in an announcement this week.
After that, former Wethersfield Town Manager Lee Erdmann will assume interim Simsbury town manager duties, she said.

"Lee brings a wealth of state-wide experience in multiple roles, but many years as the town manager of Wethersfield," Mackstutis wrote in her weekly report to the town council.
Meanwhile, the town continues work on finding a permanent replacement for ex-Simsbury Town Manager Maria Capriola, whose recent resignation became official May 1.

Capriola resigned for undisclosed reasons earlier this year.
She was the town's first-ever town manager and was hired in December 2017, starting work in January 2018.
Mackstutis said the town's executive search committee has already issued requests for qualifications for prospective managers and it is going through multiple presentations submitted.
A yet-to-be-scheduled special board of selectmen meeting is planned for next week, she said, for the board to officially decide on a consultant to help Simsbury go through the hiring process.
Boulter became Simsbury's top law enforcement official in 2018 shortly after Capriola started.
His time in Simsbury law enforcement goes back to 1999, when he started as a patrol officer.
