Simsbury Fire District Budget Approved, Officers Elected at Annual Meeting

On May 9, 2016 at the Simsbury Fire District annual meeting voters approved a $3,019,841 budget. This reflects a 2.4% increase over last year’s budget. Voters also approved a $55,000 transfer from reserves for a capital purchase of portable radios along with the transfer of $25,000 of capital nonrecurring funds for the purchase of rescue equipment. Voters also voted to set the mill rate at 1.23 mils on real estate and personal property and 1.0 mil on automobiles.

Election of officers resulted in the reelection of Gary Wilcox as President, Dan Coppinger as Vice President, John Solury as Clerk and Peter Pabich as Treasurer.
