Simsbury Fire Marshal Tourville NFPA Representative since 2009

Simsbury Fire Marshal Patrick Tourville has been selected as a 2022 National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire and Life Safety Public Education Network representative. He attended the NFPA Conference & Expo in Boston, MA, the premier annual event for fire, electrical, and building safety.

“Having the privilege to again be chosen to serve as the Connecticut representative, a position I have held since 2009, is a great honor. With access to the NFPA’s Public Education Network, I am able to use a vast amount of resources to connect fire and life safety educators from Connecticut with fire and life safety educators from across the US and Canada to discuss programs that may aid their communities in reducing risks associated with fire,” Tourville said.

Throughout the year, NFPA Public Education Network members are invited to participate in professional development webinars to enhance their knowledge about common fire hazards, emerging issues, and educational tools to support their work in their communities. As part of their role on the Public Education Network, they share these resources to their fire and life safety and injury prevention professionals in their states.
