Simsbury Firefighters Honored Via Renamed Road
A stretch of state roadway was renamed last week to celebrate the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Co.'s 80th anniversary.

SIMSBURY, CT — Motorists traveling through town will notice a new roadside marking where they are going, with local firefighters being feted as well.
State and local dignitaries were in Simsbury last week to officially dedicate a section of Route 185 as the "Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company Memorial Highway."
The honor, finalized July 24 during a special ceremony, is in commemoration of the SVFC's 80th anniversary, which is this year.
