Simsbury Firefighters To Host Benefit Golf Tourney
The event will take place next month in Avon, with proceeds benefiting the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Co. and several local causes.

SIMSBURY/AVON, CT — The local fire department is seeking caring duffers to participate in its annual golf tournament in Avon next month which will benefit many local causes.
The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Co. and the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary are hosting the annual fundraiser at the Blue Fox Run Golf Course, 65 Nod Road, Avon, on Thursday, June 13.
"We are looking for golfers, sponsors, and donations to make this year the best one yet," reads an AVFC flyer on the event.

Those who register by May 19 can do so for $150, the "early bird special."
Golf tourney proceeds benefit several causes, including firefighting/rescue equipment; events for firefighters and their families; the SVFC and SVFCA scholarships; The CT Burns Care Foundation Children’s Burn Camp; Simsbury Social Services; Simsbury Food Closet; and Keep Simsbury Warm.
