Simsbury Funeral Home To Donate Event Parking Fees To Help Residents Stay Warm

SIMSBURY, CT — A longtime Simsbury funeral home will turn parking fees collected during one of the town's biggest annual holiday celebrations into financial assistance for residents struggling to heat their homes this winter.

Vincent Funeral Home, a fourth-generation family-owned business serving the Farmington Valley since 1902, announced it will donate all parking fees collected at its Simsbury location during Simsbury Celebrates on Saturday, Nov. 28.

The money will benefit Keep Simsbury Warm, a local heating assistance program administered by Simsbury Social Services.

Vincent Funeral Home is a Platinum Sponsor of this year's Simsbury Celebrates, an annual community event featuring holiday festivities and fireworks.

Richard J. Vincent Jr., president of Vincent Funeral Home, Operations Manager Sue Coco, and other members of the funeral home's staff will welcome visitors parking at the business's Simsbury location at 880 Hopmeadow St.

The property also provides a view of the evening fireworks, which are scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m.

All parking fees collected at the funeral home during the event will be donated to the heating assistance program.

The initiative is intended to help Simsbury residents facing heating expenses during the colder months.
