Simsbury Grad Named Field Hockey Rookie of the Week

Regis College field hockey player Alycia LeConche of Simsbury has been named Rookie of the Week in the New England Collegiate Conference.

The freshman, who is majoring in nursing at the Weston, Mass. school, netted her first collegiate goal in the seventh minute of the Crimson and Gold’s 2-1 victory over Bay Path on Sept. 12.

A 2015 graduate of Simsbury High School, LeConche scored 14 goals in three varsity seasons with the Trojans, including nine tallies in her senior year.

Her Regis teammate, Kelsey Morton, was named the conference Player of the Week.
