Simsbury Graduate Plays on College Soccer Championship Team

The former Trojan plays for NEWMAC co-champion Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

WORCESTER. MA — Simsbury High School graduate Megan Hanshaw is a member of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute women's soccer team that secured the program's first NEWMAC regular season championship last Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Mount Holyoke.

Hanshaw, a sophomore, graduated from Simsbury in 2014.

The Engineers share the regular season title with MIT and, thanks to WPI's 2-1 double overtime win in the head-to-head matchup on Sept. 17, the Crimson and Gray will be the top seed, and host, for this weekend's NEWMAC women's soccer championship.
