Simsbury Hearing On Large Apartment Complex Plan Postponed

The matter was supposed to be addressed by the town's wetlands board on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

SIMSBURY, CT — A wetlands board hearing that's part of the lengthy town approval process for a proposed 80-unit, multi-family development slated for Tuesday has been postponed.

The Town of Simsbury Monday afternoon announced that Vessel RE Holding's application for a permit from the Simsbury Conservation Commission/Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency will not be subject to a public hearing as planned on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Vessel is looking to build the multi-unit housing development at 446 Hopmeadow St. in Simsbury.

The permit would allow for grading and constrution of site improvements, including a parking lot, landscaping, a retaining wall and guard rails in an upland review area.

The town did not have a make-up date for the wetlands hearing, but it said one would be announced at a future date.

The wetlands board's next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m. at Simsbury Town Offices, 933 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury.
