Simsbury High School Just Misses Top 10 in Boys Ice Hockey Poll

SIMSBURY, CT — The top 10 teams remained the same in the latest high school boys ice hockey weekly poll, but the positions changed considerably.

Ridgefield (8-1) retained the top spot after posting a trio of victories, but numbers two through eight are all occupied by different teams from the previous week.

Simsbury High School just missed the top 10, but received considerable support from voters in the most recent rankings.

The top 10 with records through Jan. 16:

1. Ridgefield (8-1)
2. Xavier (7-2)
3. New Canaan (6-2)
4. Northwest Catholic (8-1-1)
5. Fairfield Prep (4-3)
6. Hamden (4-2)
7. Notre Dame-West Haven (4-5)
8. Suffield/Granby/Windsor Locks (8-1)
9. West Haven (6-1)
10. East Haven (7-0)

Also receiving votes: Simsbury (4-3), Notre Dame-Fairfield (2-5-1), Darien (2-5), Guilford (6-2), Woodstock Academy (7-0).
