Four people received the prestigious Hometown Heroes designation recently, according to the Hartford Courant.
The recipients include: Eunice Kelly, Dominuque Avery, Frances Gauthier, and Bradford Mead.
Kelly, who died in February, was a long-time volunteer for the Friends of the Simsbury Library.
Avery, is a member of the Simsbury Tourism Committee and sat on several boards including the Board of Education.
Guathier helped organize the pediatric eye screening program for children in town.
Mead is a long-time Boy Scout Troop leader and served on several boards and commissions.
