Simsbury Library Book Sale Seeks Donations

SIMSBURY, CT — The Simsbury Public Library this week put out a call for book donations as it prepares for its annual book sale this fall.

The two-day event, hosted by the Friends of the Simsbury Public Library, is Saturday, Sept. 30, and Sunday, Oct. 1, at Simsbury High School.

In the weeks leading up to that event, however, the library is looking for folks to donate their unwanted or already read literature.

Among the items being sought are books, complete games and puzzles, vinyl records, CDs, DVDs and recent computer software.

The library, however, is not accepting magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, VHS tapes and any item in poor condition.

"The book sale supports so many of the activities that make SPL such a wonderful community resource," wrote the library in an announcement. "Show your library love and donate your gently used books and games."

Collection is on the lower level of the library, which is located at 725 Hopmeadow St., on Tuesday and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon, as well as on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
