Simsbury Moves Up in Girls Basketball Poll

The Trojans ran off 10 straight victories to open the season.

SIMSBURY, CT — A 10-game winning streak to start the 2017-18 season has lifted Simsbury into the top five of the latest high school girls basketball poll of coaches and media members.

The Trojans (10-0) moved up a spot to fifth in the most recent balloting after edging No. 7 Farmington and posting huge wins over Hartford Public and Avon last week. Simsbury has a pair of tough contests at home this week, hosting Granby Memorial on Tuesday and Glastonbury on Friday.

Mercy (10-0) moved into sole possession of first place in this week's rankings.
