Simsbury Night of 1,000 Stars

Simsbury Celebration of Reading!

NIGHT OF 1,000 STARS -- A CELEBRATION OF READING!

Come join the Friends of the Simsbury Public Library for a night to celebrate reading--and our library--at the 20th annual Night of 1,000 Stars on Thursday, April 20 at 7 PM in the Simsbury Library Program Room. We have a terrific roster of local "stars" who will read aloud from some of their favorite works while you enjoy desserts and coffee throughout. Our stars this year include Eileen Fielding, Executive Director of the Farmington River Watershed Association, one of our local favorite jewelers Bill Selig, SCTV's Kristen Benedict, financial planner Bob Thompson, First Church volunteer Susan Trimble, and Len Lanza, who was the driving force behind the beautiful new veteran's memorial next to the library. Also participating will be our newest librarians, Business Librarian Sarah Loudenslager and Children's Librarian Stephanie Prato. The Senior Center chorus, The Intonations, will provide a musical prelude to the event.

Admission is free but seating is limited, so reserve a spot by calling (860) 658-7663, visiting www.simsburylibrary.info (follow the links to the Event Calendar), or stopping by the library reference desk.
