
Arline L. Bingham, 97, of Simsbury, formerly of East Granby, beloved wife of the late Robert Bingham, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the McLean Home in Simsbury.
Born in Battle Creek, MI to the late William and Eva (Savoy) Lennox, she was a graduate of Hartford Public High School and earned her teaching degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. Arline was a former member of Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford and attended Bethany Lutheran Brethren Church in East Hartland. Arline taught at the Elizabeth Morrow School in New Jersey for over 26 years and was beloved by all her students who often referred to her as "Mrs. B" or "Grandma B".
Arline is survived by her son William Bingham and his wife Mary of Monroe, NY; her daughter Evangeline Bingham of Ann Arbor, MI; her sister Diana Malloy of Cape Cod, MA; and her grandchildren Julie Bingham and Michael Bingham and his wife Ashley; and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Robert Bingham, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, May 14 at the Carmon Funeral Home and Family Center of Avon, 301 Country Club Rd Avon, followed by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St. I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
