Born in Waterbury at St. Mary’s Hospital on March 6th, 1979, he resided in Cheshire for the first 6 years of his life, before moving to West Simsbury in 1985. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in New Britain. He graduated from Simsbury High School in 1998 and attended both Northwestern and Tunxis Community College. David was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and taking challenging hikes in some dangerous locations. He was a botanist who was gifted with a great love for horticulture. He loved to rock and mineral hunt with his father and they often visited many quarries around the northeast.
He also had a great passion and love for music especially musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, along with other groups from that era. He was a very talented artist who often painted or drew pictures for his loved ones. He was also a talented chef and loved cooking with his Mom and Dad. He is survived by his father and best friend, Richard, his loving mother, Maria, his brother Andrew who he adored, Andrew’s wife Valeria; his aunts, Jackie or as he called her “JJ”, JoAnne and her husband Nick, his Uncle Hal and his wife Barbara, many cousins, a great many friends, and his loving rescue dog Zoey.
We lost a loving and caring soul in David. The world was a better place for him being in it and a lesser place in his absence. He was a lover of all animals both large and small. He will be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him. We love and miss you Davey.
