Simsbury Obituary: Frederick Sweeney, 83

Frederick Dennis "Joe" Sweeney of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Avon and Simsbury, Connecticut passed away on March 17, 2016.

Joe was born on June 11, 1932 in Montpelier, Vermont. Joe was a long-time executive of The Hartford Insurance Group.

He is survived by his wife, Evakay and their son Charlie, as well as his granddaughters Jennifer and Rachel; his sisters Jackie and Judy; and nieces and nephews, Dan, Francis, Greg, Jeff, Jackie, Jim, Rob, and Tammy . He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Dorothy Sweeney, his children Joseph and Jenny, his brother Francis, and niece Debby.

The life of every party will be sorely missed here on earth, but is already busy planning an event in heaven.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Cathedral in Bristol on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
