
George P. Yiznitsky III, 79, of Enfield, entered peacefully into Eternal Life on Tuesday November 21, 2017 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. George was the beloved husband of Jacqulyn (Burk) Yiznitsky.
He was born on November 17, 1938 in Hartford to the late George P., II and Julia (Daunor) Yiznitsky. George was a graduate of Simsbury High School and had resided in Enfield for the past 53 years, and in Avon and Granby before that.
He served his country proudly with the U.S. Navy. Prior to retiring in March of 1992, he was employed with Pratt & Whitney for 35 years. George was a member of the Knights of Columbus. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading and a good game of scrabble.

In addition to his wife of 58 years Jackie, he is survived by his children; Edward Yiznitsky & wife Judy of Enfield, George Yiznitsky IV & wife Gwendolyn of Ayden, NC, Joy (Yiznitsky) Renner & husband Ernest of Tolland, Andrew Yiznitsky of DeBary, FL, daughter-in-law Kelly Yiznitsky of Enfield, and his 13 cherished grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Michael Yiznitsky, four brothers and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Nov. 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bernard Church, Enfield, followed by Military Honors. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Bernard Cemetery, Enfield.
