
Peter J. Levins Jr., 77, of Enfield, beloved husband of Marie (Gallo) Levins for 59 years, entered into eternal peace Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.
The son of the late Peter J. Levins Sr. and Ruth (Eaves) Levins, Peter was born in Sharon, and was raised in Jaffrey, NH. He was patriotic and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He lived in Enfield most of his life and was retired from Ensign Bickford Industries in Simsbury. Peter was active and was a former Judo Instructor in Somers for many years. He coached girls softball and was an avid bowler. He also enjoyed golfing and playing Bingo at the casinos. A devoted UConn Women's basketball fan, he was proud to see them win another championship. \
Besides his wife Marie, he is survived by four children: Marianna Burch and her husband Calvin of Lawrenceville, GA, Peter J. Levins III and his partner Patty McGuire of Enfield, Tina Hallett and her husband Richard of Windsor Locks, and Tammy Wilson of Enfield. He also leaves nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, George Levins.

Visitation hours will be held from 3-6 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, immediately followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
