Prudy and Denny spent many summers sailing along the Maine coast, or at their home in Chilmark, Mass while enjoying the company of their many friends. Prudy had the ability to cheerfully cook a great meal aboard a boat or for a gang who happen to drop by. An avid gardener, she grafted an apple tree while at Vassar College which still produces in Ashford today. As a member of The Garden Club of Hartford Prudy actively supported the “No Bill Boards Bill” and defended the West Hartford Reservoir against an encroaching highway. She was on the board of the Nature Conservancy CT and a supporting member of Sheriffs Meadow Foundation, The Farmington River Watershed Assoc. and CT Forest and Park Assoc.

The family would like to thank Attorney Robert Smith, her nephew Dr. James Cox-Chapman and the wonderful staff and Brightstar aids on the Atwater unit at McLean in Simsbury for all of their caring support.
