Simsbury Obituary: Ruth Harrison, 100

Ruth (Dunn) Harrison, 100 years of age, of Simsbury, formerly of Manchester died Sunday, January 28, 2018. She was the widow of Phillip Harrison.

Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Hyman and Gertrude Dunn.

She leaves two daughters, Susan Harrison and her husband Zafar Rashid of Avon, and Ellen Katz and her husband Joel of Bedford, MA; a grandson Andrew Katz, his wife Megan and two great grandchildren, Julia and Brady.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Temple Beth Sholom Memorial Park, 157 Autumn St., Manchester. Following the interment the family will receive relatives and friends at 477 Deercliff Road, Avon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Reading is Fundamental, www.rif.org.
