Simsbury Obituary: Susan Hunter, 72

Susan (Boothroyd) Hunter, 72, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Governor’s House in Simsbury.

All who knew her appreciated Susan's laugh, sense of humor, kindness and strength. Susan loved music, especially singing in choirs, cats and anything pink. Susan represented CT Girl Scouts at the national conference. She enjoyed her work at The Hartford before motherhood. Susan and the King and Boothroyd families loved summers together at Lake Massawippi.

She is survived by her loving family: Anne Hunter, Carlos, Gabriel and Simone Mesa of Canton; Abby and Audrey Hunter and Matthew Guasp of Jewett City; Freddi and Art Hoffmann of Bluffton, SC. She was predeceased by her former husband and lifelong friend, Daniel Hunter, and her parents, John and Peggy Boothroyd.

Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Friday, November 18th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 19th, at the First Church of Christ, 689 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Burial will follow in the Simsbury Cemetery.
