Susan Downes Lawton, 74, of Tolland, spouse of Jeffrey L. Wadsworth, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at Rockville General Hospital.
She was born June 21, 1941 in Hartford, daughter of the late Kenneth Forsythe and Betty (Dowd) Downes and had lived in Simsbury prior to moving to Tolland 40 years ago. She was a graduate of Westbrook Junior College having received her Associates Degree in Business. Susan was a school bus driver for First Student in Tolland for many years, a job she greatly enjoyed. She also loved horses and crafts.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Betsy Lawton of Voorhees, NJ.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 14th at 10:00 AM in the Simsbury Cemetery, 16 Plank Hill Road in Simsbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tolland Animal Control, 21 Tolland Green, Tolland CT 06084.
