
William Remington Shaw, 63, of Simsbury, died suddenly Friday, January 8, 2016 at his home.
He was born July 24, 1952 in Hartford, son of the late Elmer Gray and Barbara (Gagnon) Shaw and had been a lifelong resident of Simsbury. Bill was a graduate of the University of Hartford, having received his Bachelors Degree in Economics. Bill was a General Foreman for Fish Enterprises for many years. He enjoyed reading good books and spending time with family. Bill also loved his time at the Shaw Camp in Vermont, especially the 35 deer-hunting seasons he enjoyed there with great friends. Bill was a kind person with a quiet sense of humor and a big heart.
He is survived by his sister, Sarah Shaw Hoppi and her husband Stephen of East Hartland; his niece, Heather Shaw Hoppi; his nephews, Michael Hoppi, Stephen Hoppi, Jr., Jason Shaw, Jarrod Shaw and Jamison Shaw and his great nephew, Ryan Shaw Fecteau. He was predeceased by his brother, Elmer Gray Shaw, Jr.

Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Wednesday, January 13th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Simsbury Coon Club, P.O. Box 462, West Simsbury, CT 06092.
