Simsbury PD Officer Riding His Bike For Fallen Law Enforcers

Donations are being sought for the 2024 Police Unity Tour, which will feature a Simsbury police officer riding during the four-day journey.

SIMSBURY, CT — A local police officer next month is participating in a special, long-distance bicycle tour to support fellow law enforcers who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty.

The Simsbury Police Department is asking the public to support SPD Officer P.J. Gronski, who is slated to participate in the Police Unity Tour 2024, which runs May 9-12 in Norfolk, Va., to Washington, D.C.

The 300-mile bicycle ride takes place during National Police Week, honoring officers who were killed in the line of duty.

Gronski will be joining Hartford and Bristol officers to honor their fallen, with online donations being sought to help.

The SPD said all donations go directly to The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
