Simsbury PD Officers Honored With 'Quilts of Valor'
The two men, both military veterans, were gifted special, hand-made quilts for serving the town and their country.
SIMSBURY, CT — Two Simsbury Police Department members were recently honored for not only keeping the peace in town, but for serving their country as well.
Sgt. Tim May, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, and Officer Kyle Denalsky, a U.S. Naval veteran, were recently honored with "Quilts of Valor."
The duo wrapped themselves up in their special quilts during a special ceremony last week.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation was founded with the mission to "cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor," wrote the Town of Simsbury.
Thanks to people like Kathy Fallon, a long-time resident of Simsbury, a total of 373,394 service members and veterans have been covered with Quilts of Valor since 2003.
