Simsbury Plays Historic Unified Flag Football Game
The first-ever game of its type in Connecticut saw a spirited contest between Simsbury and Enfield high schools.

ENFIELD, CT — History was made on Friday, Oct. 20, when the Enfield High School Unified Sports program hosted the first-ever Unified Flag Football game in Connecticut. The Simsbury High School Unified team claimed a 50-36 victory, but both programs were successful because of the teamwork and enjoyment demonstrated in the competition.
Both Enfield and Simsbury programs were recently named National Champion Banner Schools by Special Olympics for exemplifying social inclusion in their respective schools.
