Simsbury Receives Votes in Latest Ice Hockey Poll

SIMSBURY, CT — The top of the latest weekly boys high school ice hockey poll remains the same: Ridgefield, Xavier and New Canaan. After that, the next seven teams are the same, though the order is a bit different.

Ridgefield (17-1) received first-place votes on all but one ballot, keeping the Tigers atop the rankings.

Simsbury (8-7) did not make this week's top 10, but received some support from voters.

Here are the top 10, with records through Feb. 13:

3. New Canaan (13-3-1)
4. Notre Dame-West Haven (9-7-1)
5. Northwest Catholic (13-3-1)
6. Hamden (9-5)
7. Fairfield Prep (8-7)
8. West Haven (11-4)
9. East Haven (13-2)
10. Suffield/Granby/Windsor Locks (12-4)

Also receiving votes: Farmington Valley (13-2), Simsbury (8-7), St. Joseph (7-10-1).
