Simsbury Resident Appointed as Plainville Town Attorney
Attorney Michael Mastrianni will serve a second term as town attorney.

A Simsbury resident was recently appointed to serve as Plainville Town Attorney by the town's council.
Michael W. Mastrianni, a partner at Mastrianni & Seguljic in Plainville, was appointed to his second two-year term as town attorney. Mastrianni first served in the position from 2003-2004.

Mastrianni spent his entire career practicing law in Plainville. In 1998, he and Attorney Richard M. Seguljic established their General Practice firm with the primary practice areas of divorce, custody and child support, real estate closings, criminal law, wills, bankruptcy, and auto / personal injury cases. Prior to that, Mastrianni managed his own law practice in Plainville for several years. Before that, he spent eight years as a Partner in the law firm of Famiglietti, Thompson, Vollono & Mastrianni in Plainville.
A member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the New Britain Bar Association and the Bristol Bar Association, Mastrianni is a court appointed Special Master for divorces in the New Britain Superior Court Family Division. He is also a member of the Central Connecticut Collaborative Family Law Group, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and is certified to practice before the U.S. District Court of Connecticut.

Mastrianni received his J.D. from the University of Bridgeport School of Law where he was selected as a member of the university’s National Moot Court Team, the Legal Aid Society, and was chosen to be a Student Bar Association representative. He also interned with the Bridgeport State’s Attorney’s Office. A graduate of Plainville High School he received his undergraduate degree from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven where he also played basketball.
A Farmington Valley resident for more than two decades, he and his wife, Jill, have two children.
