Simsbury Restaurant Closes Indoor Dining Due To Staff Shortage
A Simsbury restaurant will focus entirely on takeout due to a lack of staff.
SIMSBURY, CT — Plan B Burger Bar in Simsbury has temporarily closed for indoor dining due to a lack of staff, The Hartford Courant reported. The restaurant will focus entirely on takeout, as the restaurant group's founder said he lost three cooks in the last few weeks and lacks sufficient back of house staff for indoor dining.
Locals 8 Restaurants Group has 12 other restaurants in cities around the state, which aren't changing their hours or limiting service, according to The Hartford Courant.
Staffing shortages have been an issue for restaurants throughout the state.

Plan B Burger Bar will be completing takeout orders Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The restaurant's website states: "Currently there is no indoor dining, but we'll be back soon."

On the Plan B Burger Bar Facebook page, the restaurant posted about the change in hours, saying that it had been "affected by the national hiring crisis in the restaurant industry."
"We don't want to sacrifice quality, service or the life balance of our amazing staff that has already been working extra hard," the post reads. "So we're going to take the time that we need to continue to hire and train some additional amazing staff."
