SIMSBURY, CT — A key stretch of Station Street in Simsbury will close to traffic beginning Monday, March 30, as the town begins a roadway conversion project expected to last through May.

Town officials announced that Station Street will be converted from a one-way to a two-way roadway, a change outlined in the Simsbury Center Code as part of broader downtown reconfiguration efforts. Construction is scheduled to start on March 30.

During the project, Station Street will be closed entirely, and drivers may experience minor delays along Hopmeadow Street.

Officials advised residents to follow posted construction signage and directions in the work zone.

Despite the closure, Eno Memorial Hall and nearby businesses will remain open.

The driveway to Eno Memorial Hall from Station Street will stay accessible, while customers visiting local businesses will be directed to entrances via Hopmeadow Street and Railroad Street.

Town staff and contractors will also provide access to storefronts along Station Street throughout construction.

Officials said the project is expected to be completed by May 2026.
