Simsbury Seeks Donors, Clients For Holiday Gift Program

The Simsbury Community & Social Services Department is already at work organizing its 2024 Holiday Program for children in need.

SIMSBURY, CT — With a quarter left of the year to go, the town's social services department is already beginning preparations for its 2024 holiday program to help local children in need.

Currently, the Simsbury Community & Social Services Department is seeking both donors and families who might need some support this holiday season.

A year ago, Simsbury was able to help 85 children in town with holiday gifts, according to the department.

Looking forward, there are some key dates for the program:

• Nov. 12 is the last day for families to register for the Holiday Program

• Dec. 16 is the last day for donors to drop off their gifts

• Dec. 19 is the gift pick-up for registered families.

Social services staff are working to match the donors with the needs of those seeking assistance.
