Simsbury Seeks Veterans Forms For New Veterans Tax Breaks
A new state law grants disabled veterans tax breaks on their property, with Simsbury asking for local veterans to check in with town hall.
SIMSBURY, CT — Local tax officials are asking veterans in town who may qualify for new disabled veterans benefits to get their information into Simsbury Town Hall.
Last spring, the Connecticut legislature approved a bipartisan plan to grant disabled veterans certain breaks on their property tax bills.
As a result, the Simsbury Assessor's Office is reaching out to inform all veterans that they may be eligibler.

The office is asking veterans to submit their most current "VA Disability Letter" by the end of October 2024 so the town can determine if they qualify.
