Two teams tune up for the playoffs while another finishes the post-season.

Simsbury High School Sports Schedule for Monday

The boys basketball team wraps up it's regular season today at Farmington. Tip off is at 7:00pm. A win would get the Trojans back to the five hundred mark for the season.

Sunday

The girls hockey team closed out a strong season with another victory, 3-1 over Hand in Northford. Sam Arnold, Kylee Lowndes, and Tess Mackay scored for the Trojans who finished the regular season 15-4-1. Now it is on to the playoffs for Simsbury who reached the state semi-finals before being knocked out by Darien last year.

Saturday

A different story for the boys team (5-9-3) however as they fell to Xavier 6-2 in Middletown. Phil Carignan and Nolan Thompson scored the Simsbury goals. Despite giving up 6 goals goalie John Ryan played pretty well, making 34 saves.

The track season has officially come to an end as members of the boys and girls team took part in the State Open Championships. Julia Levesque took 3rd in the 55 meter hurdles. She was the top finisher among the Trojan individuals while the boys 4 x 800 meter relay team placed 4th. Josh Boltz, Chris Jackson, Joel Kirk, and Kevin Stanko beat their time from the Class LL Championships by 12 seconds.   

Friday

The boys basketball team (9-10) halted it's two game slide with a decisive 74-48 victory over Rockville.
