Simsbury High School Sports Schedule for Friday and Saturday
The girls hockey team earned a return to trip to Ingall's rink on Saturday for the CCGHL championship game. The Trojans (16-5-2) skated past West Hartford 3-1 Thursday with goals from Jess Werle, Tess Mackay and Sam Arnold. Simsbury really controlled this game outshooting West Hartford 26-7. Now they'll face North Haven/Amity/Cheshire co-op for the league title at 2 p.m. on the campus of Yale University.
The boys (5-10-2) are also in action this weekend as they travel to Cromwell to face East Catholic for an 8:10 p.m. face off on Saturday. The Trojans fell to Glastonbury on Wednesday 6-1.
