SIMSBURY, CT — Talcott Mountain State Park in Simsbury <a href="https://portal.ct.gov/DEEP/State-Parks/Parks/Talcott-Mountain-State-Park" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">is closed</a> for construction through Friday, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP). This includes all trails, the Heublein Tower, and parking lots. Roof construction on the Heublein Tower will begin Sept. 20 and continue until, at least, the end of October. The DEEP said they anticipate the tower will remain open during construction. Go to <a href="https://portal.ct.gov/DEEP/State-Parks/Parks/Talcott-Mountain-State-Park" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">the agency's website</a> for more info.
