Simsbury Teen Plays with Golf Pros at Travelers Championship

SIMSBURY, CT — A Simsbury teenager had the opportunity to swing with the stars last week during the PGA Tour's Travelers Championship in Cromwell.

Molly Mastrianni, 16, was one of 36 young golfers selected to participate in the Eversource PGA Tour Player Experience for Junior Golfers at the TPC River Highlands.

In addition to playing with some of the pros, Molly and the other chosen participants attended private golf clinics, a Q&A session with the elite players and a dinner reception.

The Player Experience is part of a collaboration between Eversource, the Travelers Championship, The First Tee of Connecticut and the Connecticut Section PGA Junior Golf Association focused on bringing the game to young people, improving player development, increasing accessibility to the game, and retaining golfers for the future of the sport.
