Simsbury Unveils July 4 Holiday Weekend Impacts

SIMSBURY, CT — With the Fourth of July holiday falling on a Thursday this year, how it impacts municipal operations in a given municipality is likely to vary.

Recently, Town of Simsbury officials announced their closings/operations schedule for the long holiday weekend.

Included are:

• In advance of Independence Day, Simsbury Town Hall, Eno Memorial Hall, and Simsbury Culture, Parks & Recreation's Administrative Offices will close early on Wednesday, July 3, at 2 P.M.

• The Simsbury Farms Pool will be open during normal working hours, from 1 PM to 8 PM, and the Recreational Complex will remain operational.

• The Simsbury Public Library will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3.

• All municipal facilities, including Simsbury Town Hall, are closed on Thursday, July 4, with town offices/facilities reopening as normal on Friday, July 5, at 8:30 a.m.
