The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary are looking for golfers and sponsors for their 21st Annual Golf Tournament and Banquet Dinner on Thursday, June 13 at Simsbury Farms Golf Course, 100 Old Farms Rd, Simsbury.

Sponsorship information and a registration form for players may be downloaded at www.simsburyfd.org. Eleven sponsorship levels begin at $50 for a business card ad in the tournament program up to $5,000 for a complete golf package for 12 players, a banner at the tournament, sponsorship of a hole, tee and green signs, sponsorship of a pin flag, 12 golf shirts, 12 embroidered golf towels, and a golf sponsorship plaque.

For golfers, the cost per player to register by May 17 is $125.00, or $150.00 after that date, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, a photo of your foursome, a sleeve of golf balls and a gift bag. Also included is a hot lunch, cocktail hour with open bar, dinner and an awards ceremony. Guest dinner tickets may be purchased for $40.00.

Registration begins at 8:30 am with a shotgun start at 10:00 am. The cocktail hour, dinner and awards ceremony will begin at the completion of the tournament, at approximately 4:00 pm.

Golfers can test their golfing skills against a firefighter in firefighting gear. Closest to the pin earns bragging rights. Other contests are longest drive and closest to the pin.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation, which sponsors the Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp each summer, the Fire Company’s Lieutenant Richard Kelleher Memorial Scholarship and the Bowman Kerr Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship, Fire Company safety, firefighting and public fire education equipment.
