Simsbury Volunteer Fire Co. Raising Funds For Memorial Refurb
The town's iconic walkway/clock area was built in 1994 for the SVFC's 50th, with the department now raising money to renovate the area.

SIMSBURY, CT —The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Co. is celebrating a major milestone anniversary from last year by working to preserve a memorial honoring a major SVFC anniversary 30 years ago.
The town's "historic brick walkway and iconic clock tower" was built in 1994 and it needs some work to get it back to its grandeur from three decades ago, according to the SVFC.
"For our 80th anniversary, we have embarked on a renovation of the area and you can have a chance to be part of this legacy by purchasing an engraved brick to honor a loved one, commemorate a special occasion, or simply show your support for the fire company," wrote the department Feb. 22.
