Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company, Auxiliary and Fire District Awards

The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company, Simsbury Auxiliary and Simsbury Fire District presented 18 service awards this year.

Recognized for 25 years of service was Assistant Chief Kristin Kelley with 6,248 callouts. Firefighter Guy Casalino, Bushy Hill station, 3,680, was recognized for 20 years of service and Lieutenant Jason Loftus, Firetown station, 4,681 callouts for 15 years of service.

Lieutenant Steve Petrella, Main station, 2,450 callouts has served 10 years. Five year awards went to Firefighters Polo Abon, Firetown station, 1,318 callouts; Mike Bazzano, Main station, 850 callouts; Victoria Denalsky, Bushy Hill station, 1,200 callouts; Andrew Hart, West Simsbury station, 1,430 callouts; and Chris Wahl, Firetown station, 1,301 callouts.

The six Auxiliary members honored were: Jane Stevenson, 45 years of service; Diane Wilcox, 40 years; Jess Starr, 20 years; and Jocelyn Libros, Roberta Rella, and Crisla Tomaska, 5 years.

The Simsbury Fire District recognized three employees with service milestones: Chris Lilley, 15 years; Jim Baldis, 10 years and Mike Brown, 5 years.
