The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company working at a barn fire on Old Farms Road with heavy fire showing upon arrival. The homeowner had reported the fire and confirmed there were no people or animals inside. The barn was built in the 1800s and next to a historic house built in the 1700s.
During the barn fire, Simsbury also responded to a fire alarm at a school dorm. Mutual aid was provided by Avon Volunteer Fire Department and Bloomfield Fire Department, each sending an engine to Simsbury. Photograph courtesy of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company.
