Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company Donates Playscape

Engine 75 donated to Rotary Park, Simsbury's accessible playground.

The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company donated a playscape to Rotary Park, the accessible playground on Iron Horse Boulevard. It was turned over to the Town at a ceremony Friday, November 17. The donation, a fire truck named Engine 75, was made in celebration of the Fire Company’s 75th anniversary.

The Fire Company was founded in 1944, and the main celebration will be in 2019, but the park was being repaired this year, so it was practical to make the donation now. The Simsbury-Granby Rotary Club built the park in 2003 to be accessible to all children.
