Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company & Ladies Auxiliary Service Awards
15 members receive awards.

Service awards went to 11 Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company members and four Ladies Auxiliary members this year.
. Recognized for 30 years of service were Firefighter Jim Vangunten, Firetown station, 7,362 calls; Photographer Ken Beliveau, 6,123 calls; and retired Assistant Chief Randall Chesanek with 8,692 calls.
A fifteen-year award went to Firefighter Bryan Bulger, Bushy Hill station, 2,499 calls. Engineer Austin Grandahl, Weatogue station, 2,417 calls; Firefighter Susan Colman, Main station, 2,535 calls; Lt. Mark Zenick, Main station, 3,336 calls; and Lt. Chris Burkett, Main station, 2,004 calls, received awards for 10 years of service. Engineer Terek Perdue, Main station, 553 calls; Firefighter Dan Roth, Weatogue station, 1,343 calls; and Firefighter P. J. Sullivan, Weatogue station, 935 calls, were recognized for 5 years of service.

The four Ladies Auxiliary members honored were: Donna Anderson, 20 years; Jackie Battos, 15 years; Meredith Taylor, 10 years; and Lisa Putnam, 5 years.
