Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company Members Complete Driver Training

Firefighters Michael Bazzano, Main station, Chris Handel, Main station, Andrew Hart, West Simsbury station, Brendan Jacobs, Firetown station, Tommy Jacobs, Firetown station, Jason Landry, West Simsbury station, Chris Trovato, Main station, and Tori Williams, Bushy Hill station, have completed a training course teaching the skills for the fire apparatus operator test administered by the State of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. They have received their licenses.

The course covered the specialized training needed to obtain a driver's license for driving fire apparatus, including the pre-trip inspection, obstacle course and over-the-road driving skills.
