Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company President's Award

Firefighter Chris Trovato of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company has received the President’s Award from outgoing President J. T. Huber.

“It was hard to think of any event throughout the year that Chris did not attend and he has always been willing to lend a helping hand,” said Huber when he presented the award.

Trovato joined the fire company in 2014 after being a firefighter in East Granby for four years. He is assigned to the Main station. He has just finished the year as Fire Company Vice President and is President this year.

The Award was established in 1988 and is given annually to a firefighter or firefighters for outstanding service.
