Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company Promotions

Driscoll, Everest, Boudreau new officers.

Fire Chief James Baldis of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company has announced the promotion of several members. Firefighter Richard Driscoll will become Captain at Tariffville station, having previously served as Lieutenant at West Simsbury station and Main station and then nine years as Training Captain and Captain at Weatogue station. Driscoll joined the Fire Company as a junior firefighter in 1985.

Also joining Tariffville station is Firefighter Brian Everest who will serve as Lieutenant. He joined as a junior firefighter in 2010. Firefighter Ken Boudreau has been promoted to Lieutenant at Firetown station. He has served as Lieutenant at Main station and Firetown station from 2005 to 2014. He joined in 1999.

All the officers are certified to the level of Firefighter II, Hazardous Materials Operational, Fire Service Instructor I and possess a State of Connecticut driver’s license with an endorsement to drive fire apparatus as well as having a management or supervisory course.
