Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company Service Awards

            The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company has honored 11 members for their service. Receiving awards for 30 years of service were Deputy Chief Michael Jepeal, with 6,846 callouts, and Firefighter Walter Banzhaf, Tariffville station, 5,286 callouts.

            Twenty-five year awards went to Photographer Ken Beliveau, with 5,502 callouts, Assistant Chief Randall Chesanek, 7,407 callouts, and Firefighter James Vangunten, Firetown station, 5,878 callouts.

            Honored for 10 years of service were Firefighters Michael McDonald, Main station, 1,938 callouts, and Bryan Bulger, Bushy Hill station, 1,849 callouts.

            Firefighter Susan Colman, Main station, 1,798 callouts, Engineer Mark Zenick, Main station, 1,784 callouts, Lieutenant Chris Burkett, West Simsbury station, 1,387 callouts, and Firefighter Anson Brown, Bushy Hill station, 1,471 callouts received five year service awards.
