Simsbury Volunteer Firefighters Complete Firefighter I Course

Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company Firefighters Patrick Driscoll and P. J. Sullivan State-Certified as Firefighter I

Firefighters P. J. Sullivan, Bushy Hill station and Patrick Driscoll, Weatogue station, of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company, have been certified Firefighter I by the State of Connecticut.

The 160-hour course covers fire suppression, breathing apparatus, search and rescue, ladders, ropes, hydrant hook-up, and salvage and overhaul. The class prepares students to become on-line firefighters, trained in all phases of fire suppression.
