Source of Simsbury Clown Threat Hoax Identified

SIMSBURY, CT — A juvenile has been identified as the source of recent clown threat hoaxes in Simsbury, according to police.

The juvenile, who was not identified, and the juvenile's family are said to be cooperating with Simsbury police and school officials.

"The Police Department and Simsbury Public Schools have worked together and will continue to appropriately hold the juvenile accountable," police said in a public statement on the department's Facebook page.
